A GUEST ON " WIADOMOŚCI" - MEMBER OF THE JAN KARSKI INSTITUTE COUNCIL, PROF. ANDRZEJ PRZYŁĘBSKI
Professor Andrzej Przyłębski was a guest of "Wiadomości" on 1 December 2022. When asked about war reparations, the former ambassador expressed sadness at the German government's ignoring of the Polish diplomatic note. He noted that the document had a balanced character. He stressed that the German public is convinced that they have paid for the Second World War.
The claims made by Poland face resistance in the form of the German government's reluctance but also by the German public lack of awareness which has been instilled with the belief that the German occupation in Poland was identical to that in France or the Netherlands.
